Midway was started to service the needs of local African communities in the local area .As the african population increased in the time the two directors of midway were in manchester they realised the need for a bar in the local area which served this particular niche as well as providing a unique atmosphere rivalled by no other public house.So the idea occured to them and hence took over midway in November 2002 and they went on to turn it to a vibrant pub it is today .
